About Derek

Derek is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland and acts Managing Partner of HLB Ryan.

Derek has been providing audit and assurance services to a wide range of the firm’s clients over a career spanning 30 years.

He has extensive experience in advising clients in relation to devising efficient and effective tax planning solutions. He advises on personal estate and tax planning, including advising on: the transfer of assets; historic tax compliance issues for both domestic and offshore trusts and individuals; and the restructuring of assets, offshore trusts and foundations for estate planning purposes.

He is a licenced insolvency practitioner and has acted as  liquidator in over 70 liquidations including High Court liquidations together with creditors and members winding-ups.
